My name is Lisa Baldwin M.S, LPC. I have a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Troy State University. I am currently a licensed professional counselor with the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling. I have over 24 years of clinical experience in behavioral health in various mental health settings outpatient, intensive day treatment, psychiatric hospitalization, residential care, and correctional behavioral health services working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
I bring a trauma-informed and holistic approach to therapy focusing on mind, body and environment. Central to my practice are several core beliefs that people are capable of healing and positive change, that each of us has an innate inner wisdom that can guide us on our journey towards healing. My therapeutic approach is person centered and solution focused utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), while continuing my certifications with EMDR and brainspotting. I have over 15 years of experience working with children and adults coping with trauma. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, Mood Disorders, Grief and loss, trauma and addiction.
